Hi,
I want to install grimaces with GPU support on MacBook Pro 2019 with Radeon Pro 5300M 4GB.
I don’t know if the GPU supports OpenCL .
The OS is MAC OS 12.
Is there any way to compile GROMACS on GPU with this system ?

Hello, Matthew!

Radeon 5300M supports OpenCL in general. However, it has RDNA architecture, which is **not** supported by the OpenCL backend in GROMACS.

On Linux, it would have been possible to use GROMACS 2023 (currently in beta) with the SYCL backend instead of OpenCL, but there are no SYCL implementations for macOS.

I’m afraid you’re stuck with CPU-only simulations.
