# Double Precision Input Coordinates from xyz file as tpr or gro?

Hi all,

I need to use high-precision coordinates from xyz files. Can I create a gro file and edit the coordinates therein to achieve higher precision? What’s the easiest approach? Do I need to use tpr/trr files? If so, how can I get them from xyz files?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
