# Feature freeze for 2026 release on October 31st

This year we have slightly adapted our release schedule and are trying out a shorter beta phase. The beta milestone is on November 7th. All feature MRs should be merged by October 31st. After that we only plan bug fixes. MRs for larger features should be up on gitlab at least two weeks before the feature freeze, so we have time for review and improvements.
