# Installation halts at cmake

GROMACS version: 2020.3.  
GROMACS modification: No  
Here post your question At the cmake stage the installation fails at the below steps. The regression tests can’t be downloaded I suppose.

CMake Error at tests/CMakeLists.txt:57 (message):  
error: downloading  
‘[http://gerrit.gromacs.org/download/regressiontests-2020.3.tar.gz](http://gerrit.gromacs.org/download/regressiontests-2020.3.tar.gz)’ failed  
status\_code: 7  
status\_string: “Couldn’t connect to server”

Alternatively, you can download and unpack the GROMACS regression test suite [http://gerrit.gromacs.org/download/regressiontests-2020.3.tar.gz](http://gerrit.gromacs.org/download/regressiontests-2020.3.tar.gz) tarball yourself and use the advanced `cmake` option `REGRESSIONTEST_PATH` to specify the path to the unpacked tarball, which will then be used for testing

Give that a try.

Thank you for the reply.

The first link is an error 404 and the second one I have tried to download, but it just “times out” every time.

Am I missing something?

Hi Chetna,

As Christian mentions in the above link, you might have a firewall issue.

The link works for me, just took a minute for the download to begin. It’s over 40MB.

Can you try to download it from a different network?
