Dear all,

I am happy to announce the availability of plotxvg, a script based on matplotlib that will allow you to plot most xvg files produced by GROMACS from the command line, or using your own Python pipeline, directly to pdf or png files.

It can be installed using pip:

pip install plotxvg

More information is in the accompanying application note [J. Chem. Inf. Model. **66** (2026) 2955-2959](https://dx.doi.org/10.1021/acs.jcim.5c02998) and on the github page [GitHub - AlexandriaChemistry/plotXVG: Batch-generation of publication quality graphs · GitHub](https://github.com/AlexandriaChemistry/plotXVG). We welcome suggestions for additions and enhancements directly on github, or why not pull requests.
