# Tutorial of umbrella sampling. VMD visualization code

GROMACS version: 2024.1  
GROMACS modification: No

Following jalemkul’s tutorial demonstrating [umbrella sampling](http://www.mdtutorials.com/gmx/umbrella/index.html), I reached section for [Generating Configurations](http://www.mdtutorials.com/gmx/umbrella/05_pull.html).

In it, there is this fantastic visualization:

Could somebody share code to help me and everyone else to create that visualization or something close to it?

Please notice that I am looking for code to create the movie programmatically as opposed to using GUIs and mouse-clicking my way throw the entire process.

Code for even a far less fantastic visualization would be appreciated.

The more I look at that visualization, the more I feel like adding to it piano music by Philip Glass.
