# Which recent cuda + gromacs versions combo suitable for Tesla C2050 workstation

GROMACS modification: Yes

Dear All,  
I am having one workstation with Tesla C2050, for getting performing in GROMACS MD simulation, which gromacs and it supported cuda version suitable for this gpu card .

Kindly provide your valuable suggestion

Hi,

Looks like it is CUDA 8.0 the last version which supports the Fermi architecture of the Tesla C2050. The last GROMACS release is 2019 which supports that CUDA version, later releases require 9.0 or later, so I recommend installing 2019.6 ([Downloads — GROMACS 2019.6 documentation](https://manual.gromacs.org/2019.6/download.html))
