Dear all,

Next GROMACS developer meeting will be 2026-01-07T16:00:00Z on zoom. Everybody is welcome.

If there are any specific topics you wish to discuss, just add to the agenda by editing the post Monday before the call. A defined agenda help that interested people will join the call.

Agenda:

We usually reserve in total 20 min for each discussion topic. We suggest to use 5-10 min to present the problem and focus on a question that you want to address.

Questions:

  • LM: Releasing 2026.0 next Friday?
    • We have minor fixes by Mark, and a checkpointing fix by @dmorozov.
    • GL: Deprecate the old table-related mdp options? Using them currently crashes gmx, and we want to re-use the same parameters.
      • BH: We don’t remove the functionality, so no need to formally deprecate.
      • GL&BH will set up additional meetings to coordinate work on tabulated potentials
    • Next Friday sounds ok
  • Querterly planning meeting: January 21, 13:00 → 9:00 CET
    • AA: we don’t have anyone from outside Europe in this call now
    • LM: attending a workshop in the morning, afternoon is more convenient; but the workshop can be skipped
    • GL: much better earlier
    • AA, BH, VM: no opinion
