GROMACS version: 2026.0
GROMACS modification: No
Hello folks,
Not sure if this should go to the user discussions or not, but I’ve had some time today and was trying to build the latest version of gromacs on our Cray machine (similar architecture to LUMI), and noticed a large amount of warnings when building using the standard cray compiler and cray environment (which I know is clang based).
To be specific, I am getting on the order of hundreds of warnings with text like this:
"warning: ‘__vectorcall’ calling convention is not supported for this target [-Wignored-attributes]
Looking over some old issues in the gitlab, it looks like this had happened before in 2015 and 2020, but thought it would be wise to check to see if anyone knows if these warnings are safe to ignore or not.
Cheers,
Mick
