I’m planning to buy a workstation mainly for GROMACS simulations, but I’m confused between two options within my budget:
Option A: RTX 5080 + 64 GB RAM
Option B: RTX 5090 + 32 GB RAM
From a GROMACS performance point of view, which setup would be the better choice overall?
Also, how important is system RAM vs GPU power for typical GROMACS runs?
