Tutorial of umbrella sampling. VMD visualization code

Following jalemkul’s tutorial demonstrating umbrella sampling, I reached section for Generating Configurations.

In it, there is this fantastic visualization:

Could somebody share code to help me and everyone else to create that visualization or something close to it?

Please notice that I am looking for code to create the movie programmatically as opposed to using GUIs and mouse-clicking my way throw the entire process.

Code for even a far less fantastic visualization would be appreciated.

The more I look at that visualization, the more I feel like adding to it piano music by Philip Glass.
