Hello everyone.

I want to calculate the persistence length of a polymer using the gmx polystat command. It gives the value of the radius of gyration and end-to-end distance in nm. However, for persistence length, it provided the values in bonds (See attached image). How can I convert the bond values into nm?

“The persistence length is defined as
number of bonds where the average cos reaches a value of 1/e.” So there is no direct way to translate that into a distance in nm.

Does this help you https://www.researchgate.net/post/How-can-I-compute-Protein-Persistence-Length-in-gromacs?_tp=eyJjb250ZXh0Ijp7ImZpcnN0UGFnZSI6InF1ZXN0aW9uIiwicGFnZSI6InF1ZXN0aW9uIn19#answers at all?

Thank you, MagnusL, for the information.
Can I use the output from gmx polystat for persistence length calculation for publication?
